the room was comfortable and had a small en-suite bathroom with a shower. I loved the little kitchenette with a fridge, which was perfect for preparing breakfast and storing drinks. the location was great, with easy access to a variety of different restaurants and a supermarket. It was also just a short walk to the V&A waterfront. One of the highlights was the friendly and helpful host, Fred, who went above and beyond to provide helpful recommendations. Considering the price I paid, it was definitely great value for money. I highly recommend House On the Hill for a wonderful stay in Cape Town. Cons: Nothing - it was perfect! 😊.

The House On The Hill is in an ideal location, with easy access to good restaurants and a short walk to the waterfront. The hotel is also easily accessible for senior people, with no stairs to climb and comfortable seating areas throughout the property.
I would have loved if they had more assistance available specifically for senior people, like guided tours or activities that cater to our needs.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and had an incredible view. The bed was comfortable, and the gas fire/heater kept the room warm. The hotel provided small touches like lotions, candles, and chocolates that made the stay special. The mini bar in the room was well-stocked. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the city center and only a 15-20 minute walk to the V&A Waterfront. The staff were friendly and the owner provided helpful information about the area. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options. Sitting on the open plan dining room deck was a perfect experience.
Nothing, everything was great!

I chose House On The Hill specifically for its proximity to the Two Oceans Aquarium, a landmark I wanted to visit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's free private parking. It made exploring Cape Town so much more convenient. I also enjoyed the bright and sun-filled Wintergarden, where I could relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings.
Limited dining options in Simon's Town, best for a day trip.

The location was amazing, close to the waterfront and with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and bakeries nearby. We loved being able to walk everywhere and explore the area. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist us with any questions or requests we had. the breakfast provided was also top-notch, with a variety of options to choose from. And the free wifi was a bonus!
The room lacked some basic amenities upon arrival, such as towels and a fan. the managing staff quickly resolved these issues and made sure we had everything we needed.
